Reading on here that all you RS133Twingo owners have 12,000 annual service intervals; yet the paperwork with my Wind 1.6 133vvt (eg exactly the same engine/gearbox/chassis so far as I know) tells me it's every 2 years or 18,000 miles ! How can they be so different?

Thanks for the tips.. I take it the metal bar you remove to gain access is under the car behind the front bumper, and then the filter is accessed from below once you have removed the bar and plastic undertray? Did you manage to gain access without using a car lift, lying underneath?
