17" x 7.5 on a GT?

Does anyone know if these would fit a MKII GT? I know I'll need spacers but not sure if their still too big (smallest size in that wheel) its hasnt been adjusted heightwise however I do have to park on a curb pretty much daily

I probably wont be doing it for a few months (pretty much spent a grand on the sound system, just need to save up the the wheels and tires then they'll be going on (not allowed to wrap under my insurance company. Ill let you know & probably start a progress thread soon
