Hi, has anyone else had any issues with springs breaking?
mine has snapped tonight? :( drivers side front
09 plate with 42k with cup pack

Anyone know how much I'm looking at for a replacement spring from Renault?

any help or advice id be grateful for

Thanks
Rob

Sorry bud no idea. Shouldn't be too expensive when you can pick up lows for mid £100s for four!

You need to get both fronts changed. Had this happen on my Clio 172. I can`t remember how much it cost, was thinking of changing to a Twingo and did a deal which included the springs.

Might as well spend a little more and get 4 lowering springs lol
My other half had a snapped spring on her clio gt and I think a few 197's have had a similar problem

Getting some lowering springs are looking the better option at the minute.
After reading a few post here, I see H&R are the more preferred option.
£170 for the set I have found, anyone know anywhere cheaper?

thanks, I seen them, id rather pay a little more and buy brand new. thanks for pointing them out to me

Twingo spring prices are ridiculous! I got my mate that works at a garage to order mine.
I'd say go for lowering springs as if you price 2 of them up, it'd be cheaper to lower it :D

Thats always the way. We see a lot more cars these days with broken springs and dealer prices are extortionate.
