Bought this beauty back in January and looking for some advice on next steps :)

Things I am planning on doing (all up for debate)

Exterior
Stubby Aerial.
Wrapping spoiler, wing mirrors, badge and fog light surrounding in black.
Black tints over front lights.
Lowering Springs
Tyres need refurb and re painted in black/gun grey

Interior
No idea, help!

Engine
Looking at a remap (contacted a few and one garage said for 190 quid he guarantees a 23 bhp increase?
Any other ideas are welcomed.

Progress will be posted as soon as it is done.

Thanks

wrap the dashbad binnacle blue (the bit above the speedometer) or w/e colour you wish. wrap or plasti dip it. do the same with your rev counter cowling etc ?

go faster stickers! lol

Guaranteed 23hp! Must be confusing it with a GT which has a turbo. I bet he could show you a graph with 24hp gain by a bit of cheating .

yeah, might just go with ktec, i know its only a 10 ish bhp increase but id rather do that than try and get 23 bhp out of it

a certain southern trip to the southern english coast, for a go on a certain set of rollers would surely gain the 133 a good 10-15 bhp ???

haha no but really, have a browse through the project threads harry. theres everything from 133 turbo's to throttle bodied gordini's and uhhhhhh twingo's with mugen parts nudge nudge!!! you'll get loads of ideas, everyone always does in the end :D

23 bhp more like 1 or 2 and more torque, again I think he's confused with the GT

see I just talked to another garage and confirmed 5 or 6 times, its the 1.6 petrol, non turbo. and he said increase of around 20 bhp for 170 quid!

its crazy that these people just lie through their teeth!

I'd only trust KTec or RSTuning to be honest

you've never had work done at either so how can you trust them? tut tut :p it's not like k-tec have the best of reputations but as frank sinatra says ; that's life!
personally i went to my friend's work to have my mapping done and they're a japanese performance specialist (in fairness, mainly evo's and scoobs). not too sure if chrissy had ever touched a renault ecu in his life but with just megane injectors and improved breathing we hit 136 bhp although that is on the twingo GT harry :) i can at least confirm that a good 'mapper' if that's even a word, is someone who can adapt to any car. the only tricky parts in mapping various cars is gaining access to the ECU itself but give any mapper a half hour and they're in, in which case it should only take them 10 minutes to get familiar with how the software parameters work

A cars bhp on a rr as I see it is a rough estimate as one garage will give u a result of say 136 bhp and another would be 140bhp on the same day.
