Hi Guys,

Some of you may know but if you don't, I am picking up the Ktec Turbo Twingo development car tomorrow. Im so exited!!!.

This time I shall do it properly I promise !!!

For those who don't know me, I used to have an Extreme Blue Twingo RS but traded it in back in december for a Megane monaco GP. It was boring as hell haha so when the Ktec car came up for sale I just had to have it.

A bit of background on the car then. Ktec bought the car back in may with the view to using it for their turbo conversion development car. They wanted something to show at FCS really so it was all bolted together pretty quickly. If you went to FCS you will have seen it :)
As well as the turbo conversion they used it as their test vehicle for the roll cage.

Since then progress has been slow with the car but the turbo install itself is all complete and in place. Custom Intercooler, Custom cast turbo manifold and downpipe, 2.5" exhaust system, Boost pipes, Dump valve, Map sensor.
The idea was to use their GEN90 ECU to run the boost system but this was easier said than done, and with other commitments such as the clio3 and megane 2 conversions, they put work on the Twingo on hold.

Having been in talks with the mapping specialist who has recently left Ktec, He has told me that there is actually very little that has to go on with the GEN90 ecu to get the car going. Hopefully this will completed by FCS and I will have something for you all to see.

Getting the Boost system finished is my first priority and I'm looking at figures in the region of 170-180bhp on standard internals.
After that is where the big money comes in and some serious saving will have to be done haha. Forged internals will be looked into and a stage 2 camshaft upgrade is a possibility. Eventually I'm looking to push roughly 220bhp reliably but this will take some time.

Pics will be uploaded tomorrow :), any questions on the turbo conversion I will try and answer the best I can (if not i will certainly find out)

Hope to see you all this year at various meets!!!

Well, the head would have to come off for pistons and rods, so that would probably be the time to do the cams if you really wanted mmmmmmmmmmore power. I suppose its got potential to be expensive :?

You'll have the fastest twingo in the road besides maybe the 1.6 with Clio 200 engine but who knows when that will be done

Its going to be well up there with the torque increase from the turbo  even just running low boost

Saying that, what's the limiter set to on an RAC truck  (its a question I keep hoping that I don't need to know the answer to )

There's only one way to find out!

I don't think the pistons and rods will last though, but you can always get some forged and hey ho

I should really be able to answer your question regarding the Rac truck by the amount of times the old car went on one hahahaha
