it happened in peterborough on the 14th April (level crossing involved)

That is pretty mental.. He must have had a huge adrenaline rush or something to even want to burst through the barriers - how would they have known it wouldn't stop the car in the middle? Scary!

I wouldn't say "moments from death" with the train however...slight exaggeration methinks.
