Being as theres a recuring theme (the same on all car forums :? ) of what wheel fits, I'm hopefully going to compile a list of what works and sticky it here.

A usefull link for working out if wheels/tyres will fit is:-
https://www.willtheyfit.com

Firstly, the Twingo hubs are
Pitch Circle Dimeter - 4x100
Center bore - 60mm

RS models
17's
7x17 ET55 is the standard Cup wheel as fitted with 195/40/17

7x17 ET55 with 205/40/17 is a common replacement tyre and was rumoured to be standard fit to the facelift RS133 for a while

Below ET43, the 205/40/17 will probably rub the front arch on full lock and the rears will rub when loaded

7x17 ET35 have the face of the wheel flush with the outer edge of the wheel arch. 195/40/17 fits but the rear arches can rub when loaded

16's
7x16 ET55 is the standard Non Cup wheel with 195/45/16 Conti CS3
7x16 ET55 with 195/45/16 Michelin Alpin A4 winters
7x16, ET44 with 195/45R16, Michelin A4, no rubbing at all
7x16 ET37 with 195/45/16, Toyo Snowprox winters, no rubbing
7x16 ET35 with 195/45/16 Michelin alpin A4 winters - fronts rub on full lock (Note 1)

15's-15" rims clear the front brake calipper by a few mm so check them before spending a fortune ;)
7x15 ET43 Speedline 2118 alloys with 195/50/15. Work fine at standard ride height
7x15 ET43 with 195/55/15 BFG winter G - just clear the front arch when on full lock
7x15 ET43 with 195/50/15 Yokohama AD08 - Occasional rubbing of rear tyre shoulder when lowered on Apex springs. Regular rubbing now lowered on BC coilovers
7x15 ET40 with 195/50/15 Yokohama AD08 - Required rear arches knocking outwards of the top. Still rubs occasionally when loaded or often when lowered.
6.5x15 ET43 steel rim is the spare wheel size with 185/55/15 Continental Sport Contact 2
6.5x15 ET40 OZ Superturismo wheels with 195/50-15 tyres.. ..perfect fit, no rubbing
7x15 ET35 with 195/55/15 Toyo r888 semislick- as used on Anthonys (yotah1) Nurburgring car (Note 1)
5.5x15 ET35 Ronal R52 with 165/65 Alpine A4 winters
7x15 et20 with 165/50/15 - Stretched tyres on Ollies ride

Note 1:-

chatting with Yotah earlier. On paper, his 15" toyo R888 should have been the ones that rub as they should be larger than the 16" alpin A4. The difference being the r888 is a semislick from toyo and the A4 is a winter tyre from Michelin.

At ET35, clearance is getting small and it depends on the actual tyre shape more than the numbers :-s

Non RS models
5.5x14 ET29 - Standard non GT 1.2
6x15 ET36- Standard GT alloy
7x16 ET45 - Clio182 eight spoke alloy with 205/45/16 tyre >>clicky<<(20mm spacers optional to fill the arch)
7x17 ET55 cup alloy with 25mm spacers (making a total of ET30) with 195/40/17 >>clicky<<

If your running something different, please post here with the sizes and wether theres any clearance issues and I will keep the list updated.

My setup is 17 inch 7J ET 44 with 195-40-17 vredestein sportrack 3 tyres, no rubbing!

My setup - 15" x 7 et 40 on 195/50R15s.
No rubbing on arches on lock but rubs on top of rear arch extensions over bumpy ground when on undulating roads.

Standard Cup Supsension/Ride Height

I am living in Sweden and I am going to buy some new winter tyres (spikes) with new rims as well. I would like them to be as narrow as possible to get a lot of air between the rims and the ground. More comfy on hard and bumpy snow roads in Sweden and Norway. I am thinking of 165/65 R15 and rim with of 7 inch with ET 45. Do you think that will work? There is not a lot of good options for really good nordic winter tyres for the twingo cup.

165/65/15 may be borderline as it looks to be the same size diameter as my winter (non studded) tyres 195/55/15 ET43 which just clear the front inner arch on full lock and the rear inner arch when loaded. The studs or extra tread depth may cause damage

175/60/15 or 185/55/15 on a 6" rim may be a safer option for fitting. However, its wider than you realy wanted

When I go for my 15" 2118s ill be sticking 195/50/17 I reckon. Shouldn't see any issues with those eh?

Winter tyres off, summer tyres on and so far, it's mainly been peeing down :( although a couple of dry corners last night realy felt good and they seem to be reasonably good and predictable in the wet which is proving to be a good thing so far

195/50/15 Yokohama AD08. Realy liking the amount of rim protection
Those are 7x15 ET43

165 on 7 inch is not going to be good idea, it will look like this:

Hello curbing ;)

I meant 6 inch and I think it will be without studs. so it should hopefully fit then?

Will 15x8" ET 25 Fit on the GT without any issues? Tyres would be 195/45/15
Isn't there a GT with 20mm spacers fitted, running, or having run with the standard wheel?

You planning on some rubbing and scraping?

I rub and scrape already Neil, nothing new lol. Just planning on swapping the Turinis for some different wheels so was wondering if they'd fit being 8" wide. I currently have 25mm Spacers on the rear of mine and it's very low, the tyres scuff over big bumps, worried about the front though..

Sticking the figures into 'Willtheyfit', it looks like they would be more inset than the originals and still poke out more than some original wheels with 25mm spacers

Is 8" realy necessary, as thats going to be quite a stretch for a 195
