    Selling up and moving on.

That's it, have owned and enjoyed the GT for a couple of years now and it's served its purpose... it put a smile back on my face. But times change and it's going in p/ex on monday. Anyone comes across BF10CLZ at an auction or on a forecourt, it was mine, it's clean, major serviced last april at...

Boot lid opening at start up

Yep, posted the same prob a couple of months ago, got no replies. It did it a number of times, most worryingly at 80-odd on a hospital dash on the M6 ! Strangely, the prob disappeared just as suddenly as it appeared. Hope you get it sorted.

    Boot opening at random...

Hi. Have a 2010 Twingo GT and, over the past couple of weeks, the boot has started to unlock itself at random ! So far it has happened when car is running and in motion (in the fast lane... on the M6... :o) stationary both engine running and switched off, key out. It HASN'T happened, yet, when...

    GT spoiler

Hi. Much as i love my wee GT, i am becoming obsessed with the utter ponciness of its spoiler. Somebody on here labelled it as looking like a shopping-trolley handle, and they weren't far wrong. To my question; are the fixtures and fittings for a 133 spoiler compatible with the GT ? I'm not...

    Asda tyres

Is it common knowledge that supermarkets are now doing tyres ??... or am i just a donkeys' age behind the times... :(

    Service upcoming

Should imagine it very much depends on the quality of the pads and tyres fitted. I had two cheap Continentals put on the front 6000 miles ago and they'll both need to be replaced in the next 1000...

    Should i be worried... ?

Having just watched Pastor Maldonados' Lotus lunch its Renault power-plant in the Abu Dhabi Grand prix, should i be worried next time i tootle up the A509 in the GT for a loaf & a newspaper ??

    Hello!

Thanks for that Universe. Anyone else experienced this ? I stand to be corrected Hrabroslav, but i think the fuel pump is under the floor at the back of the cabin ?

    Hello!

Thanks for that Neil. Have just been out to check my actions and the buzz/whine occurs when the ignition is on (ie 2nd position before starting engine, dash and speedo lit)) NOT just when the lights are switched on (my panicy boo-boo...) Does this narrow any potential probs down ?

    Hello!

OK, Nightbreakers fitted. When testing the lamps (engine OFF) there was a distinct electrical buzz/whine from somewhere in the engine bay which stopped when lights were switched off. Can anyone confirm/refute that this is normal ??

    Hello!

Yep, 'fraid that sounds about right for the more pedantic in the Plod. Not, however, if you were still driving without h/lights. Was once stopped on a m/bike for no lights by a more civic-minded member of the Constabulary. He gave me their standard ''don't want to be the one to scrape you off...

    Hello!

:wtf: Thanks for that Neil, i wasn't aware of that though i did suspect that i might be in breach of one legislation or another. When i first tried it, i did do the ubiquitous 'wall' test and found that, although the light spread from the fogs is significantly wider than the h/lamps, it was no...

    Hello!

Interesting comments. With the shorter days i've also noticed the Twingo headlamps, especially dipped beam, aren't up to much. I've found using the front fogs improves things considerably but it shouldn't be necessary. Have invested in some Os N/breakers and hope they cure this niggle when fitted.

Any parents? advice please (Twingo based)

Tommy, what do you call expensive ? I drive the GT (also a 1.2 tce) like a Saigon fire-engine and return 40+ mpg. Recently did a 230 mile run from North Devon and scored well over 50 mpg.

Any parents? advice please (Twingo based)

With a baby/toddler seat a five-door is always going to be easier Tommy. Bought my GT not expecting to use the back seats much, but my Sprog and her mate insist on travelling ''incommunicado'' with the tinted rear windows. The taller door is a help, as is the generous travel in the front seats...

... BIRMINGHAM !?!... I have enough problems getting outta the village i live in pointing in the right direction... Will certainly add Tony Brooks to the list though, thanks for the heads-up.
