Just testing the waters here but was wondering how many people would be interested in a custom engine cover for their 133 RS ( like 172/182) .

I have a friend who makes parts for most Renault Sports both hard plastic & carbon fibre & is designing a cover ( purely cosmetic ) to finish off the engine bay.

Unfortunately it's in it's early stages yet so we have no idea on costing in both hard plastic / carbon fibre but if all goes to plan we will be able to offer a full range of colours to suit most / all tastes.

Keep tuned for further updates !!!

This might help with the common problem of scuttle panel leaking on to the coil.

That was another reason for the design of an engine cover for the 133 , il keep you guys posted on progress !!

This sounds good, obviously it would need to be a decent quality, would the carbon fibre one or plastic reduce heat soak if it was lined with heat wrap Or am I just making that up ?

Engine Heat Testing tomorrow , will try to keep you guys up to date with the testing and progress. Will be looking at both carbon fiber and hard plastics in a range of colours to suit !!!

Owain it will just be more of a cosmetic cover but hopefully trying to design to help with scuttle panel leakage ..!

How far along are we with this then mate?

If you would do this for the GT engine too, I'd reckon some people will be interested as well.
GT engine is not exactly 'pretty' designed.

Definitely interested in the 133 cover, hows the testing going? And any idea on what kind of colours will be available?

Sorry for the delay in responding. At the moment we are still in the design and moulding faze which is taking a lot longer than first thought but hopefully have an update within the coming months. So please stay tuned will put an update asap.

Cheers
