133 engine swap

I know its bin done a couple of times so just wondering how much work goes into putting a clio sport engine into a 133. I cant be the only one that has thought that the twingo is slightly under powered :/

I would love to try this as well. Paul at RS tuning in leeds tried to talk me into letting him try it on mine but I simply didn't have the money.

If you look through Yotah's progress tread on here I think he goes into a bit of detail on when he put one in his. I believe you need to change the hubs as well to accommodate the clio drive shafts. And yes I agree while the standard engine is fun it could do with a bit more poke. And a 6th gear :/

6th gear is a must mainly to calm it down on motorways

Definitely! Shame Renault didn't make them with a 6 speed in the first place.

My friend has a F1 197. He's thinking of doing a Megane engine swap so i've been thinking if it would be possible to put his 197 engine in the twinky. and yes, 6 gears would make 70mph more bearable haha.

Don't think the 6th gear will make a difference. It'll still turn 4k rpm at 120 kmh. Power will be great tho
