I have found that I have the wrong spark Plugs in my GT which I got second-hand last June. I had it serviced at a Renault garage to the tune of £211 in September but it seems like they didn't pick this up. So im trying to change the plugs myself but I cant access the three stuck below the air-box without removing it.

I haven't a clue about these sorts of things can anyone give any tips or a breakdown of how to do it and just what tools I will need

Think the air box is a fairl simple job, there's a few threads on here explaining it I'm sure, don't think you'll need much kit for it pal

You'll need some torx bits and thats it lol. Screws on the front part of the airbox to remove the lid and theres a couple attaching it to the engine, simples

Took mine off my RS at the start of this month to fit an induction kit. If it's the same all you have to do is:
1.use a T25 torx bit/screwdriver to take the top of the airbox off
2.remove the air filter
3. Separate the airbox from the pipe that feeds into it at the bottom
4. Remove the pipe that goes to the block by undoing the jubilee clip and sliding it off
5. And finally just jiggle the box off the bracket

If its roughly the same as the RS that should do the trick for you :D

U used 2nd hand plugs?! And Renault didnt change them on service? It is fairly straight forward to do. Just make sure you got a long enough socket to get down the spark tubes. :)

I meant the car was second hand. I just bought 4 brand new NGK-ILKAR7A7.

The single plug I have removed so far is a NGK-LZKAR7B might be the 1.2 plug but thats guesswork on my part.

My bad, misread it maybe. Lol! And people have said about melting stuff with the wrong plugs. Can't remember fully and damned tired lol
