Door mechanism resistance

The driver side door on my car is real difficult to shut, requires some force. The passenger side is nice and easy. Is there a way to make the mechanism have less resistance? I tried seating it slightly higher and used grease on it but it seems to have little effect

I have the same problem with mine mate you have to proper slam it
