Right I picked my car up in October.start of November I discovered one of the rear seats wasn't locking into the floor properly.after taking it back to dealer for an inspection I was told the seat frame was faulty and not to use the seat under any circumstances as it was unsafe.you can see my disappointment in that a car I'd bought three weeks prior was now having to have new parts already. And also the seat at fault was the seat my four year old sits in,so his safety had been comprimised. After complaining to Renault uk they gave me £100 of dealer vouchers to use at a dealer.the car went in and had seat fixed and all was well again.until a week ago when I got a call saying the repair they had done was not complete.they had found some bolts they had been sent that should of been put on when the seat frame was replaced.it was booked in to go in today now a phone all saying they are the wrong bolts!i just cannot get over how bad a start to owning a Renault this is. My dealer is a fourty mile round trip away and I have taken three days off work to get this sorted, today being one of them and they have now cancelled today.fair enough they compensated me £100 because I complained but I've used fuel and holiday from work still with no end to this situation.i love my twingo but both Renault, whoever pdi the vehicle and motor line Maidstone have all let me down with great disappointment. Rant over,

I had to have a new seat and frame put in my 133 and my gt seems to be a fault with them. Get back onto ruk

This thing of shocking dealership keeps coming up. Do wish RUK forced them to up their game.

Indeed. Though it seems in the spread of Renault dealerships, there are some who are awesome and some who are terrible. I've personally had very bad experiences with Co-op Renault Nottingham, but on the other hand Smiths Renault in Peterborough {RS Specialists} have been great.

I rang ruk today to follow on the complaint.a man called Gareth has been dealing with the case.he has been great making the dealer speed up the repairs and constantly updating me on what's happening.couldnt ask for more.he has said to me they will take the £100 back wait till the repair is complete and I am happy then we will talk of compensation.for the pure fact that my car was deemed unsafe by a friend of the family who works for vosa and that god forbid something happened and that seat failed with my lil boy or anyone else in it plus the whole inconvience I'm going for everything I can.my complaint is within Renault at the moment but I have told them if I am still not happy this will go outside to governing bodies.will update with progress as it happens

From bad to worse.picked my boy up from school and put his seat in the seat that was supposedly fixed.got to a junction and broke with an almighty bang the seat frame has again become loose.after a angered phone call to ruk I have been told to drop my car to the dealer and il be given a courtesy car until my car is completely fixed and the new bolts fitted.then a "gesture of goodwill" as it was put will be given to me.well unless it's every extra going eg exhaust ,rs spoiler , and gear knob and handbrake I'm not going to let this rest.the worrying thing is I was told the seat was safe to use even though the modified bolts hadn't been fitted.which by the occurancies of today was proven wrong

Fortunately it was only braking which allerted you. Finding out about the weakness as the result of an accident doesn't bear thinking about.

Hopefully RUK get things sorted properly and go the extra mile to make amends.

Exactly my thoughts.the bloke from dealership said, while being completely professional!,I suppose your be after something for this!whilst I am so pleased as single speed said it was only braking that alerted me to this and not the seat failing in an impact I don't see what else they can do apart from fix it properly than compensate me.i spent what I did so that I got a car which should of been pretty much trouble free.also how they state it's a five star car but obviously that seat would fail these test horrifically.

Well the car is fixed and after a heated phonecall the compensation totalled £250.atleast the car is fixed and safe little disappointed with the approach of ifs and buts of what could of happened from ruk.very much let down by the dealer but the bloke from ruk that dealt with the case was brilliant.

At least something good has come out of it. If possible vote with your feet and never deal that that dealership again. Name and shame.

RUK are currently working close with dealers but the can force them because they could just drop the Renault brand we only have 3% market , but most dealers are in agreement and Renault are launching new standards for 2013

lets hope there better than parks renault in dunfermline couldnt organise a raffle and a cant go back after havin an argument with the sales manager because he had an attitude problem

Dabbot, if u still have warrenty left u should deal with ness motors in perth. Glenn petrie's ur man. He's renaultsport trained. Very very helpfull :D
