How do you remove the gaitor from the console surround????

I've got the silver surround off but the gaitor is attached to the surround, how do I remove it from that so that I can spray it????

Oh I see. Is it not just clipped in from underneath?

was it Black-twingo i that retrimmed the gators recently

Iirc mine were just clipped together. A small pair of pliers and a bit of patience should have it off surely/

what i did, was pull the plastic bit up.. lift it over the gear nob.. the slowly pull it and it should JUST stretch over the gear nob, takes abit of pulling but it definatley comes off without breaking/ripping it

Thats good to know cause can't get the knob off.
How does the gaitor come off the silver surround???
looks like it has plastic melted to hold it on????

Yeah it is, I just basicly got a Stanley to it, the hard part is making the new material fit back onto the surround bit cause you need to make holes in the right place and then glue or melt the white plastic back onto it, it's not easy

Sounds like a pain in the @rse to do.
I wanted to cover all the silver in my car with white vinyl but think I'll just leave it.
Great car but interior is poop, seems like renault made no effort on the interior, my Gordini has silver, white, black, grey and blue interior, well done renault.....
