Just started the car and left it ticking over for a couple of minutes and there was a build up or liquid, no smell just slightly black, took it for a little run and it cleared up.
pretty normal dude. most of your exhaust gas is water and being a turbo car it's only natural that your exhaust will have a slightly higher particulates (that black sooty stuff you usually expect to see on a diesels exhauat) than an N/A car. it sounds like the waters condensated in your pipe and been absorbed into the particulates. thats the only explanation i can give, it's actually the only explanation there is to give when i think about it lol
Try not to leave leave it idling just after starting from cold. Sure it may be handy for clearing the screen on a cold morning, but even though the coolant is getting warm enough to demist, theres so little loading that the oil and bottom end of the engine will still be cold.
The combustion gasses as mentioned by Oscar contains a lot of water which will condense on cold surfaces, with some of it ending up in the crank case where it gets turned into mayonnaise with the oil
