GT Twingo racing stripes will not come clean

Hi,

I've got a Twingo GT with the Renault textured roof stripes.
I'm having issues with getting them clean though and wondered if any one had any ideas?

The stripes are white and are going patchy with black dirt all on the top of the car, I use Auto Glym shampoo and it doesnt shift this, I've even resorted to AutoGlym tar remover but still having no luck.

Has anyone else had this issue or have any idea how to get the dirt to shift?

autoglym do a vinyl and rubber cleaner, have you tried that?

Have a look at my topics as iv recently done a thread about cleaning them as i have a set.
Started with All purpose cleaner such as ciff to get the muck off and then used car polish to bring the colour out.

I used Wurth glue remover and a bit of elbow grease with poorboys black hole, worked fine

But that was for removal, if you want to clean them use Cif cleaner and a toothbrush

Hi Guys,

Managed to clean up the stripes big time, however unfortunately the strips have just peeled slightly on a couple of corners, Does anyone know any adhesive I could use to stick em down again?
