Hi all,

Just bought a Renault Twingo Gordini 133 number 028.

Traded in a Citroen DS3 (Gives french cars a bad name) due to major engine problems (see www.crappycitroen.co.uk)

Totally smitten with the gordini. so glad I took it for a test drive. bought it within 30 minutes after the drive. Had its now for 1 week.

Graham

Electric oil pump in engine on DS3 didint work properly for the first 2 minutes. 3700 mile engine probably had 50,000 miles wear on it, sounded like an old peugoet 205 diesel. Blue smoke out the exhaust from cold start up.

Good handling car, looks reasonable, build quality shocking..

I've had about 12 renaults over the years including R5 turbo, R11 turbo, R11 TXE Electronic, Mk1 Clio Rsi.. The little gordini really reminds me of the R5 turbo...

Hello and welcome, Im so suprised at the trouble you have had from these two citroens, they are rated as being brilliant quality etc. and the motoring journalists seem to love the DS3, I was pleased to see that you liked the C1 to a point as i had one for 2 years and it was faultless, never rattled never had one issue, it was a lot of fun!
Hope the gordini is better for you :)

Welcome mate, lovely car.

Let's hope u have more luck with this one :)

i'm loving every minute of it. already to 500 miles since saturday. made sure that the car matches all the salient performance specs. making sure that i'm not being undersold. Thru my gps car did 6 mph more than renault said it would do...

Welcome to the club. Loving the Gordini! Shocking to hear about the Citroen issues. My dad has a new C4 Picasso and today I noticed the engine management light come on in it, hope that's something of nothing.

Welcome mate the mother inlaw has a C1 and has had loads of problems with it. Hope u enjoy the gordini

Welcome aboard. I had a C2 Code before my Twingo and went looking to trade it for a DS3, but the salesman wouldn't do a sensible deal - looks like I was spared!!!

Tried to go to your website, but keep getting an "Invalid host name' error. :?

Hope the 'dini's still treating you well
