Was watching a programme on the other day about a hill climb event got me thinking about the twingo bet it would make an excellent hill climber ;)

Think Neil is on about doing some. There is quite a few puma's do it (my other car passion).
I think they would be good depending on how the class system is.

would fall into A2 rally category, and with it's power from stock to be honest you'd probably find it'd make an awful hill climb. a C2 class twingo which is what neils would fall under for modified road cars could be competitive though!!!

a stock 133 would be too under powered to compete with other cars like clio 1*2's etc in it's A2 class. neils however would fly :D

Not everything is about being the best or winning. Taking a 133 up a hill climb would be awesome.
Would love to do some sprints and hill climbs in my twingo. There's some pics on the forum Facebook of a silverstone that does sprints and hill climbs.

yeah it would be a delight to drive if you were just out for a spirited drive and a bit of fun but i assumed that the op would want to be competitive lol

Tim Reeves on Facebook (i think he's cidersurfer here) sprints and hill climbs his standard spec Silverstone and does reasonably well. Winscomb hill climb is one of his locals.

Im planning to do some events next year but will fall into the modified class of B2. So, needing some roll over protection. The class should be competitive as theres scope for fully stripped out track biased cars.
Keeping standard front suspension top mounts and staying within the other regs for class A2 would bs less hassle

I think for me for the time being it would be a laugh just doing it in a stock motor like chicken mentioned sometimes it's just about having some fun with what you have rather than spending thousands on a car to try and win I bet singlespeeds shifts though maybe you could post some video when you compete next year from a dashboard cam or something? ;)

Something like this? Just worked out how to post
Videos after all this time.
This was an event I did last year and doing again in a
Few weeks.

I was thinking more of a road that goes up a twisty hill of that makes sense but that look good is your twingo standard?

Yeh know what hilclimbs are. This is just an example off some of the things I do.
Yeh it's standard all my money goes into my proper rally cars.
There was 50 entry's last year and I was 10th oa so quite pleased as
There is some serious cars there. Car the same this year apart from better tyres and new brakes.

Sorry I didn't mean it the way it sounded that's what I just presumed it was being new to it and all that, that is a good result, yeah I bet there is some serious motors there with plenty of horse power floating about, where does this event take place?

Yeh there was lots of my 1/2 escorts with some off them being 200bhp, puma's,corsa's and lots more. It's held at the Nissan factory in Washington in the north east. The twingo handles so good you don't need the massive power. My dad will be out with one of our puma rally cars so it's a nice family day out.

Sounds really good, good luck, just wish there was something in the southeast like that

There probably is. Google classic rallys, most of them have a section for modern cars. Contact your local motor club as most run things that you can use your everyday car for.
