Hello,

I've recently picked up a 30k miles blue 2010 Twingo RS (FF with Cup suspension) to perform as a daily drive. I used to own a mint RS 197 Cup owner a few years back (username Ams on clio197/200.net) so I'm no stranger to the Renaultsport world. I have to say the 133 is certainly reminiscent of the 197 Cup, although in my opinion the 133 is most definitely the better looking car :) It's mostly stock apart from lowering springs (they appear to be Spax items) and an aftermarket exhaust that is fortunately quite silent.

Thanks to the helpful information on this forum (and copious use of the search function) I've verified that my 133 suffers from the dreaded drip which I'm in the process of fixing, I've already ordered and received a new OEM Beru coil. The sparkplug in No.1 is heavily corroded so I've also ordered a set of PFR7Z-TG's.

The vehicle is booked in with my usual performance car garage for a thorough inspection, gearbox oil change (Fuchs Titan Sintofluid 75-80), removal of the current lowering springs and geometry (toe, possibly castor) adjustment. At the time of purchase I was supplied with the original Cup springs so I will be restoring the vehicle to the standard Cup setup. Once this is done I'll be fitting 2015/40/17 Michelin PS3's to replace the dreadful tyres the vehicle currently has fitted.

So I guess I'll be posting for advice here and there, most likely for replacing consumable bits, parts recommendations.

PS - Is Twingogeeko on this forum? I remember him from 197/200.net and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful for parts purchase advice.

Cheers!

Ah I see. Are there any Glasgow based owners? Would be interested in knowing of anyone that currently specialises in working on Twingos/Renaultsport vehicles in the Glasgow area or central belt.
