Hi guys I am now a proud owner of a beautiful red Twingo RS :) (pics to follow), this may sound stupid but how do you tell if it is a cup chassis as from what I understand this was an optional extra ? Also anything common faults I should look out for ? Or any sort of advice really lol.

Welcome! Pics should follow soon :)
Cup can be identified by purple dots on the springs, 17" wheels and a very firm (but comfortable) ride. You can also get the VIN number checked at a Renault specialist (independent or franchise) and that'll confirm either way. Last clue is your rear seat; bench or split?

Make sure you have no water coming into the engine bay from the scuttle panel, check the front drive boots/gaiters are sound, and make sure the oil is clean and that the be!ts are quiet (and have been changed on schedule). Aside from that if it drives well you have a winner!

Remove the rubber bung from the outside of the air box (it's a credit card sized piece of flat rubber) to make it sound a bit more evil!
