I have had my facelift Twingo since February and I have done around 7000 miles in it since then (i bought it with about 600 on it) and the past week there has been this horrible grinding noise coming from the steering wheel whenever I turn it at low speeds. I took it back to the dealer as it's still under warranty and they phoned me today to tell me that it needs an entire new steering column. This seems like a very strange part to fail at 7600 miles, I wonder if it's a fault with them all waiting to appear or if I have just been unlucky. Renault said the part is on back order so could take awhile, they gave me a 2013 Clio as a courtesy car and I'm missing the Twingo already.
