So I'm looking at a cheap 172 but it has an intermittent starting issue. The motor is not getting spark or fuel so won't fire. Crank sensor has been changed as well as the fuel pump relay but still nothing. Immobiliser seems fine as the light goes on then straight off after turning the ignition. What is weird is that the car started a couple of months ago to be put on the back of a recovery truck, ran fine then once it was home and turned off it wouldn't start again. Any thoughts or ideas? My only concern is that I don't want it turning into a money pit if I buy it.
