im looking at this:

P1 RPX
P10 RPX

thoughts?

p - position
RP (my initials)
X - just random

the only thing is with this plate, only you will know what it means

i was looking at DB02 MGZ but again only i will know what it means, DB being my initial, 02 my football shirt number. MGZ coz i drive a ZR

i know you what you mean....

getting BMW on a number plate puts it to £900 min.

And is only relevant whilst you're a tosser

My grandad has m555jcm

M5 cos he had a 5 series badges m *groan*

55 to keep it going I guess

Jcm initials

Honestly. Looks silly on his 1 series

So what do we think about the top two I suggested? Or too tosser-ish?

I have J7 HUC, J for James, 7 is my lucky number, and HUC is first 3 letters of my surname.

Nobody but me knows what it is, and it doesn't bother me really lol

And all in all cost no more than £300 from memory

I prefer the 1st one. Not tosserish at all. Mine's a little bit tosserish

X17 FRY

X - random letter
17 - age when I got my first car (even though I got it just before my 17th..)
FRY - Last name

Brings me onto my next problem.. When my plates were put onto my car they Riveted it on. How do I get it off now?!?

the best ones i have seen are clever ones that follow teh current number plate

there is a guy near me that has my06 tts which is nice.

but i personally never seen the point in personalised license plates

I have S28 CUP

Silverstone No 28 - Cup for cup chassis as i couldn't get 133 or anything else relevant!

So it matches the car! Cost me £255 i believe.

If you like it, get it!

I've got T23 NGO just to look like twingo slightly and I prefer smaller amount of letters/numbers as it looks tidier

I've got T88 DPG- T random, 8 lucky number so two equals double lucky. Then DPG intials. :)

If you have to explain, then it's not worth anything to anyone but you.

As you are looking at 1996/7 plates, no one else has thought those plates are a good idea in the past 15 or so years.

Wait a few years, and then get PR17CHP ;)

sshhhh your not meant to tell him that

Getting a Plate is a pain in the arse if your guna go to an auction! Plus it costs loads, you have to pay a 20% hammer price on it, then a 8% buyers premium, then 20% bat on the buyers prem, then the assignment fee! I was going to get one from the auction coming up and it was £450 starting price. (doesn't mean your guna get it at that price)

So if I had got it for £500 say, I was guna have to pay £728. Higher it goes the more you have to pay. While if you find one on the DVLA website you pay the price it shows plus the VAT price, as I bought one yesterday! ;)

yh but dan then you have the issue of:

transfer of plates and documentations etc
