R2 evo air box cost funny price of 900€ (800£? )

I was thinking if we buy one and send it to specialist it can probably make copy for lower price (maybe 600 in fiber and 800 in carbone) if we buy enouth (like 5) :)

so is anyone interested by R2 evo air box in this condition? :?:

It's just to "take the temperature" I ask

I'd buy it, but it would have to be custom made to fit with the stock battery setup in that case I'm in, otherwise, don't see too much in it ;)

the custom made that fit with battery is the standard box ;) (don't see your point)

a resonator is calculated for a guiven admission

it have no interest to keep it if it's modified

for me the best alternative to R2 evo box is standard box

there is plenty of topics that speak about air box or admission don't see the point to debate about it again here ;)

Putting battery in the rear gives you also better balance....for the R2 air box is the optimum...

Costs too much to buy and move the battery so it isn't deemed a hazard for maybe 2bhp?

I'm sure the V6 box would be good enough if you're willing to move the battery already?

Besides K Tec is working on new induction kit as far as they told me ;) Just save money during Winter :D

just a thought.

Will the throttle body still fit? The Evo has a mechanical TB which may be a bit shorter and doesn't have the electric motor.

Where does the ecu move to?

In my opinion, that's too much of an investment unless you intend to go all the way, meaning putting the ECU somewhere else, moving the battery in the back, getting a proper engine upgrade for all internals and a complete custom mapping to take advantage of this new airbox. But all that is a lot of cash! Even me, and I've spent thousands of euros on my car, I won't go down that road as it's too expensive for the hp gain you get.

You'll spend almost 1k€ on an airbox while you should spend these on tires and pads an going to the track instead, to enjoy your car.

my message disapear? (problably forgot to push "send" ^^ -_-)

I was saying that the ecu will go flat under the box
already make the test, not tricky if the box leave me the place (I'm quite confident it will fit easily)
if no place I move the ecu deeper in engine bay

The engine will recieve a complet prep of course (almost everything wil be change)
box will come near the end
(the idea is to build "my own" engine and get the best of it)

At the begining i was planing Turbo conversion but I'll just stay on atmo cost much less in fact (if you want to make proper turbo conversion)
but this box cost a bit too much for something not even in carbon (after market one will be in carbon for the same price

So looking for other people you're not afraid of heavy tuning on their engine :)
