Steam Box

They only recently revealed the Steam Box developed by Valve (Half-Life).
To be honest, I'm more interested in this than the PS4.
Finally something that is bringing the PC to the living room.
-It's hardware upgradable,
-has a Linux OS,
-can use a special designed gamepad that is more accurate than any controller now or keyboard and mouse,
-Steam store.

So far, I'm sold.

If I'm playing skyrim I'll hook up to my telly and just use an xbox controller.

Some games I don't think I'd wanna be in front of a telly though

I have a HTPC in the living room with Steam on. Its the shizit. Normally used for XBMC but good for a bit of lightweight gaming (only a ivybridge i3 with a hd4000 GPU).

To me it's appealing because my PS3 died on me and my gaming desktop died on me and it's a little bit of both worlds.

I wasn't sure what I would spend my money on, a new pc or the PS4.

Going to wait around and see how Valve plays its cards.

I love the streaming thing. Fingers crossed there is no major latency problems.
