Tech Question - Meg 225 discs on 197

Hi All,

Quick tech question for those in the know.

My dad has bought himself a 197 Cup as a toy and is asking if the Megane 225 RS front discs fit the Clio 197?

Yes, but allegedly, the clio 197 caliper uses over the edge of the Clio disc.
So the bigger disc takes up the slack apparently.

Just looking for someone to confirm/deny it :lol:

They are the same size. I would go for the r26.r grooved discs.

He's already (in his impatience) bought 225 OE Discs, look like high carbon but can't confirm to be sure.
It's mostly down to pads anyways

He actually bought it with the Miltec cat back and one sports cat. We haven't had the chance to be out for a play yet so I will let you know how we get on.

He's got a K&N Panel filter on the way too.

Tell him not to buy R26.R drilled discs as they are prone to cracking.

They will fit as the front setups on the 225 and 197 are the same. The rears are different though.

I thought the R26.R discs are grooved and the 225 Cup discs are drilled :?

.R discs are definitely drilled.
