Mass of empty car : 970kg

Car definetely feels better and more punchy.
Finally, I am pleased with the performance of my car :)

The plan further weight loss.

I envy the bottom end of your graph, How smooth is that :) mines like a mountain range

"The plan further weight loss." Whats your thoughts?

I would like to reduce weight below 950kg. I care about reducing weight from the front of the car.
I think of a light battery. For example this 1,7kg :

Unfortunately, this is very expensive.

The next possible step is carbon bonet.
If I can buy them at a good price, I'll do it.

Sorry for the mistakes, I use google translator.

^^ nice ideas :) but, as you say expensive if you go for the best avaliable. And then, loosing any extra weight becomes even more expensive and more and more
Rear seat belts.
Rear wiper and motor.
Do you have the two iron blocks in the engine bay, under the main engine mount? (If needed, I will find a link to a post later )

I think it was MazMaz who bought a carbon bonnet recently. One of the French or Spanish members anyway

How I save? Perhaps 2 kg. It is unfortunate that over the rear axle :(
Maybe in the next stages of weight loss.
In the first place something in front of the car.

this post for the iron blocks
Interesting discussion.Possible easy weight loss.
Have you removed it?
Were there any problems?

Air con out and all airbags, you'll save about 25kg :)

I'm glad to see you reached 970kg in yours, as I still didn't get the chance to weigh mine which is a bit more "extreme"...

What about relocating the battery to behind the seats? lower in the car closer to the centre etc?

Hi yotah. I love your Twingo and a great ride at the Nurburgring :)

The changes you propose will give a big drop in weight, but they are too hardcore. For the moment. Maybe later.

I bet that your will weigh ~ 930kg

Whats up with the Iron blocks in the engine bay?

I was now an authorized dealer of Renault. I asked about the block of iron. I got a reply that is part of the balance of the car.
According to them, removing it should not badly affect the pursuit of the car.
Next week, I will remove it.

With solid engine mounts, I have vibration anyway. So, I'll probably not notice a bit more.
Loosing 10kg of iron and the battery from the front end, while adding 9kg of battery to the centre/rear should make up for the missing seats to restore the ballance

So what's your 0-100 time? I actually never tried mine and now that i'm on the winter tires, it loses so much grip compared to the Bridgestones that it's pointless to try it.
Did you have the redline pushed back a few hundred RPMs when remapped? I did and actually don't switch to 3rd before 100 kph anymore.

Oh by the way you were right. I got time to weigh my car and it was 950kg with 3/4 of the fuel tank, so about 925kg empty :)

With a small amount of fuel and a good start at 7.5 s.

Unfortunately, the remapped not upgraded rpm max, so I do 0-100 in 3 gear.

Clarifying: 3/4 of the tank is 30 liters of petrol weighs about 20kg, so your empty car weighs 930kg;)
Predicted perfectly :)

Was at my Renault Dealer before an hour and he said its for damping vibrations. Which One is right ?
You are right in terms of vibration, so iron must be.

LOL, i am doing 7,89 without rear seats. (according to RS monitor)
car is not remapped, just running on 98 fuel
