hi guys

just wanting some pointers on removing the standard air filter box and pipe as i have bought a new K&N cone air filter kit with a silicone pipe attachment. I am wanting to then make a cold intake system. to do this I was going to fit another flexible sports pipe to the end of the cone filter and then extend it to the front grill mesh. i will then cut a hole through the mesh and put the end of the pipe through it. is this the correct way to go about it or can i stick the cone filter into the existing box and run a pipe from that?

many thanks

Cutting a hole through the mesh isn't really necessary. As long as you keep driving, enough air will flow inside.
If you can, you could try and fit a heatshield, seperating the engine a little from the airfilter.

I am also wondering can you fit the one end of the induction kit to the existing air intake already in the car
Or is that pointless ?
