My mechanic may have been wrong
These look pretty similiar
His main problem was, these pads arent 'tall' ennough.
He is right i guess, cos the upper pads (EBC) are not really touching the outer 1cm of the disk, but maybe then the oem pads are the same i guess? Haven't noticed it before.

The other thing is the clav/spring thingy..., which is missing, but i guess it's ok if you say so.
The noise it makes when not braking won't have any difference in wear.

So according to KAM racing, there are two versions, is this the twingo specific, or the 'regular' 4042?

One more thing.
You said you had brake cooling, because you have taken out the fog lights. My mechanic checked, and said there are things in the way.
I didn't want anything bug moved around and cut.
How did you manage your brake cooling?

Will I be all right with semi slicks? I brake pretty late as well/until ABS kicks in sometimes with the R888-s.
Or i just do a cooling lap after a 2-3 GP laps?
I mainly run on the hungaroring, it's 4,5km, it's not easy on the brakes.

Thank you for your help!

Will you be at the Ring between 17-20 in August by any chance?

No idea about my presence at the Ring.

i can't see the images right now from my work computer, firewall blocks them.

Brake cooling, I just cut through anything bothering me and not vital...

I'd like to keep it close to stock
In your opinion how big of a difference is there with or without brake cooling with the RC6.
and did you use OEM disks with it?
will it eat my EBC grooved disk?:)

Thanks, looking forward you verdict on the pics

A pair of plastic Colson / Rislan collars to fit the ducts underneath the front lip and you won't have to cut through anything.
Go OEM for your discs though, the RC6 will eat your EBCs out.

My old RC6 pads.

Saw the pictures on FB. Wasn't sure of what they were exactly.
Looks pretty nice, how does it feel? Or are they not on yet?

I haven't fitted the bearings, didn't have time this weekend as we were racing the 24h Rad AM Ring. I've managed to fit the droplinks, the solid mounts for the engine and box and to wrap the airbox with gold heat resistant protection.

One lap with my brother as passenger, just testing the setup and not pushing it too much. I need to get used to the gearbox under full load, it takes a bit of "knowing" to get in the gears perfectly.

I still have to change the windows as ACW Motorsports is building me new ones in Margard, and they will have the layout for future kits if anyone is interested. Also to be put on the car are the rear camber plates to adjust the geometry a bit more to my liking. And finally I need to buy a stereo mic for my camera, update the car's computer mapping, and do as many laps as possible. I'll be at the track next weekend again :)

And a quick walkaround the car describing the mods.
