Quick update, tried loading up the engine in 1st gear clutch at biting point (while parked up). Swich off .... no knocking noise. Repeat in neutral, switch off knocking from around top rhs (from drivers seat) So... I'm now definitely thinking engine mounts?

Thanks for help, mounts would be a logical place to start. My wife drives it much more than me, but I've not noticed any serious juddering or excessive engine movement pulling away. Similarly clutch take up feels ok. Very odd. There's definitely too much movement in the top (hydraulic) mount...

Apologies in advance if this has been covered before (suspect it will have) planning to renew rear disks as they're heavily scored & pads too. Questions are: Will i need new new wheel bearings too, or can they be swapped over without too much work? Any advice over caliper wind back tools...

guys, apologies if this has already been covered! has anyone found a suitable replacement rubber for these lower ball joints? I think the joints are ok (cars just out of warranty @ 10k miles) but rubbers are badly torn. was looking on the net there's now a vast selection of replacements.

Can anyone help? Where is the adjustment for hand brake cable, underneath or near the hand brake lever.. if its on the underside do you need to remove any of the exhaust heat shield? Thanks.
