What does the second display show over the standard one?

I'm not fortunate enough to have the sound pack. 
As much as I'd like to go USB, the Auxilary input on the stereo cuts it fine for me. I've sorted my iPod and now only got stuff on there I like listening to, but it's rare I use the iPod in the car anyway, unless I'm going on long journeys as otherwise it's too much faffing around for 10 minute drives to work, lol.
