to be honest, im not up for going if its going to be linked with german cars, will ruin the rep of french car

any one emailed mark?
 
I have emailed Mark but hes out the office till the 17th
 
There must be a mistake, they couldn't ever dream of doing such a thing...

Both websites are owned by Mark Dow so there's no doubt that it is a real website.

If this goes ahead, FCS reputation will plummet and people simply won't attend.

Lets just hope it was an April fools joke that nobody noticed!
 
Ok so with further investigation it appears that not all is lost!

Basically, French Car Show get the usual area and German Car Show get the inner paddocks. This means that the cars won't be mixed up and that you effectively get two shows for the price of one. One thing I don't like about it as that the VAG owners will simply come over to FCS and slag off the French Cars... Riot anyone? lol.

I'm still not 100% happy with this and it's shocking that no clubs were contacted to pre-warn or even get opinions. I'll certainly be passing my personal feedback and the club feedback onto Mark and Graham.
 
its not gunna work many people just wont attend, hope it gets sorted,

just read mats post, its wrong how they dont tell clubs, i will be asking for a refund, as i dont like to be faked about, french car show HAS been french car show all its life, it will not be the same, and as matt said, the vag boys will be over ripping the piss
 
Vag ripping the piss they need to look at the Rats ;)

Also im going to talk with FCS like i know a few other club owners are we are all very un happy with this as its not going to be FCS IMO
 
inner pad? immm i can see that being nice and choatic with people coming and going with the open pit then track time. i was using that area as a cool down lap as we didnt get one last year. also there'll be no where really to park and get your debrief and bands etc as we went 40 mins to the pit check in before are track time :(
nice to see some german weapon grade cars but the layout is extremely poor. after last years nightmare on track def not taking mine out there with m3 power coming up my arse at every corner. least with the french cars you know the max car you'll get in your group is 300bhp now you could be out with cars at 500+

I am one of the organisers of FCS. I am really sorry you feel this way and if you still feel this way after the show then we will not do it again.
Please be aware that FCS and GCS are SEPARATE shows and occur in completely different parts of Rockingham. FCS is my passion and I have given my all to it for the last 8 years - I would not allow it to be watered down - FCS will always remain an independent and stand alone show. A bit like Pistonheads and Autosport or Top Gear Live and MPH show your single entry ticket will get you into both shows - surely that is a good thing for everyone?
Both shows are specialist for the marques but both sets of showgoers can go enjoy both shows for the price of one.
We all have friends who own a German car - indeed it was those people that pushed us to create the show. I hope that everyone can see the benefit to having 2 shows for the price of one.
 
I don't mind if it elsewhere but it messes people doing track times around. Also it's all well being away from us but surely there using the same entrance as us and we know what the ques like without the "if it ain't scrubbing it ain't dubbin" sticker infront off you

well the guy does have a point lets just go and enjoy it !!!!!!!!! :mrgreen: anyways it is my first show and i ant goin to let the spoile it. :)
 
This news has angered me deeply. I received a text from a friend at midday and thought "nah, that's just a rumour going round on Saxperience"... get home tonight and find my Facebook news feed with lots of unhappy people.

To be honest I'm angry and dissatisfied that they've clearly been planning this for some time without even questioning the forum owners and members/attendees how they would feel about a German car show - probably because they know how everyone would react. But still, from my experience of working in sales and marketing - it's a very bad practice to deceive the customers.
