Just put a deposit down on a Wind, as they seem to be cracking value at the moment. I doubt I'm in the demographic that Renault was aiming at, but they didn't make this sort of car 30 years ago.

Another forum for me to read now.

Potential , the 1.2 tce is the winner. Another member has 140+ bhp & 150 + lbs out of his (taken a lot of work)

However the 1.6 is a cracker. I prefer NA's and the 1.6 really suits. Still waiting on someone with more than a few quid to see what they can get from one.

Stock 1.6 over 1.2 tce or even a fretted one,,,, for me anytime

My friend has the 1.2tce and the little so an so hangs off my tail until we hit bout 70, such a pleasant car to drive and quiet fun too :D

We use the twingo for driving ;) an the wind for relaxing when we get some sun!

Anyway welcome along and hope we can help in any way we can

Look what the wind brought in! Welcome! :D

1.2 TCe or 1.6 its all equally fun to drive

Btw, you're from Calais.. I've been there to take the Eurotunnel over to the UK with my car

Yes, I've seen the TCEs with just a re-map can get to 1.6 power levels, but then it will start to get expensive to get more power.
I won't know what direction I'll be taking until I get a feel for the car. It's a long time since I had a Renault to modify (Clio 16V), so I also need to see who specialise in tuning in the UK.

Sorry, that's my humour. I'm 22 miles from Calais, and in one direction that makes me a resident of Dover. ;)

Well back when I needed a car the 1.6 wasn't available yet. Bad crap was going on in my life and I needed the car as fast as possible.
I also did alot of research and most car reviewing sites recommended the 1.2 due to the higher torque.

Either way, it's a ton of fun to drive especially with the roof down

Err not so much fun for me, as I suffer from Tinitus. I would have gone for a Twingo, if I could have got one for the same price.

I can see why others have said that you have a Wind. It seems that you are the main instigator of threads on the Wind section here. :)

Yea I'm kinda the underdog here so I'm kinda fortunate now that there's another Wind driver showing up :p

Tinnitus sounds awefull..

lets hope the winds turn into gales once they start to be altered, movingshadows certianly getting a little quicker than wind now :)
