First bar on the fuel gauge --> How many km or miles max

Just to update finally got down to the red bar on way home from work(haven't used the car much in the past 2 weeks) only did 302 miles until red bar although in my defence highway to hell came on the radio half way home

92km recently... The best ive seen was about 110, but it was the very very first bar ever after buy and first filling outside the dealer.

How do you guys get such good mpg?? I average 25mpg!!

25mpg sounds about right for me too! Driving to work and back nets me the mid to high 20's. First bar gets me anywhere between 15-30 depending on how/where i'm driving it.

but in all honesty my mpg isn't that great there's a time and place for me to go quick. Or when I see a Peugeot some reason they hate me and tailgate which seems to put my twingo on heat......... :lol:

To and from work is a 6 mile stop start max 35mph run. No where to really give it any stick.

Just worked it out again. After putting some air in the tyres 29.13MPG the best I've had out of it yet lol

Been getting a fairly constant 42mpg recently which I'm happy with

8 miles. Worst I've seen is 0.3 miles. I'm pretty sure its the pumps at my local garage though, if you fill them up to the click, even 2 clicks, it never fills the tank up to the top. Same as the pumps don't sit on the pound (they jump from say £19.98 to £20.01)

I get 42-50miles on 1st bar and about 40-45 miles with the rest run it down to the red and if I'm still going at 330miles I'll go fill her up so that's what I get from mine using bp ultimate usually takes about £54-£58 worth to fill the tank

a few weeks ago i filled up from empty something like 41/42 litres when i was 22 miles or so into the red. so if we accept that every fuel pump will cut itself off so as to not pump air and destroy itself at 5 litres, and the twingos fuel tank is 40 litres. i'll deffinately believe books when they say fuel guages and senders were never designed to be very accurate, just a rough indication of how much fuel you have left. still cant get past the whole ''musta had 47 litres of fuel in a 40L tank'' thing.

Say 58 miles tho from full tank straight onto motorway and I cruise at 60
