:) All back they held her overnight to test the next day found loose bolt on the top as you guys suspected keeping an eye on it for a couple of days though just need to sort my sterio out and Ill be a happy bunny thanks for the help guys :D

all fixed and good to go eddie? lucky eddie :p literally lol. k4m twingo engines got updated thermostats (which were the only notorious k4m issue) so you've got nothing to worry about in terms of the engine being dodgy. it's a solid 30 year old engine ;)

good to see you're back on the road and that it was only a bolt!

Cheers Oscar yeah lucky just need to sort dodgy stero now hard to sort cause it's so intermittent :(

for what it's worth, my factory stereo always jumps up with CD ERROR and farts my cd's back out. always pops them back out close to melting point they're that hot so it would appear that the stereos are just junk. but your problem seems isolated eddie, you can test the circuits via clip etc but from memory that's a bit of a pain in the backside going through all of the parameters to get to the entertainment can-bus! but still a good last option if you want to track down the problem, the good thing about this is that it will tell you exactly where the intermittent fault lays in terms of dodgy signal from X cable or high resistance in X cable so on so forth but clip is expensive. curiously, where are you based? i know a good few guys dotted around england who are renault specialists who are reasonable price wise :)

Put a new stereo in who needs the garbage one ? Halfords Alpine Bluetooth Stereo £60 done

I have it's a new pioneer one that's why it's just pants have checked connections and new speakers wired up correctly just don't know why it does it there is a slight noise from one of the speakers when the sound doesn't come on when I put in the front of the stereo.........then another day I can get in put the front on and there is sound the unit works fine can't be a lose connection cause the unit works for the entire journey get go do some shopping get back in and The n nothing again it's just pant I might try to wire the speakers directly to the unit and just take the power from the twingo sound loony thing !!!!!!!!!

After reading this post i went an checked out the top of my engine and i've got the exact same problem, i guess this is a common thing with these engines

engines are inherently dirty machines. no bolt or thread can provide a perfect seal which. my engine has an oil film on it, but i personally do not care about it. my oil levels aren't affected whatsoever and i don't see any reason as to why you should be worried about it taylor :)

There was more of a little puddle on the top of mine...yours looks much better, the garage just resealed and tightened up the bolt, like the advise I was given on this forum give it a clean up and just keep an eye on it :)
