Too good to be sat on the drive :( needs to be driven. This is gonna be used a few times a year on track and that's it. Just wanted bodywork in good nick coz my dad already had engine in mind

shame the twingo had to go bt understand why,

this should be a good little track day motor, at least wont be to upset if this goes into a gravel pit like you would with the twingo, whihc is what a track car should be.

have to keep us updated. :)

Yeah exactly, if I beached the Twingo, I would be gutted, it needs to be cherished, it was driven hard but looked after properly. I'd cry if I ended up in a gravel pit :(

All I wanted was something straight and in good nick so I can drop an engine into it and have some fun

Nice wee toy you got there dude :)

Good luck trying to keep the Turbo reliable though :p
I haven't had the best of experiances with Turboed MG/Rovers

Good thing it's an Audi s3 engine going in it ;) should be fun. Apparently they drop straight in, will have to wait and see how it goes

AH-HA :)

Glad to see you went the smart route i.e - Not T Series Rover :p
Didn't know about the Audi Swap, seen a couple with Honda B18 swaps.

Had a 1.4 before, died with H.G.
After that I had a 1.8 GTI (25) with the plans to make it into a track machine but couldn't afford to keep it

Anyways, I'm sure you'll have fun :D

How's the MG coming along Davey?

not too great at the minute :(

clutch is on its way out, random squeak from the front wheel and can hear running water when i brake, luckily its being covered under warranty

its having a tidy up at the minute, having a couple of dings removed and alloys redone from previous owner

modding side, i got a new rear beam with disks, saving for new engine, gearbox etc and i got bigger front brakes waiting to go on.

i gave it a clean a few days ago, few pictures for u all.

forgot to mention, i lifted the zr badge at hte back with the pressure washer too, entirely my fault

Sorry to hear you're having a couple of problems, though it's good you've got some warranty to sort them out.

Looks nice and shiny after the clean :)

new exhaust fitted today.

Janspeed, im really pleased with it!! changed the back end completely

IMG_1066.jpg

2 new front tyres and new brakes for the front, fronts are now 282mm :)

next, are a few scuffs that need sorting out, rear beam change to give me rear discs then engine in the winter, need everything to go with that first.

My #2 daughter had a TF, a few years ago. She complained that the switchgear seemed a little dated. When I worked it out, the window switches (from a Metro) were an older design than her!

Lots of bang for the buck though, and plenty you can do to spice the ride up. Car looks good.

defilitely sounds better than sunday ;)

cheers chicken, its not to overpowering. didnt drone horribly on the motorway earlier either so pleased with it all in all.

got a nice rasp at high revs and a nice burble at low revs.

Araf, the cars show their age in places, a lot of old technology used and an old engine design but the potential they have is amazing, wait until you see the finished product ;) the engine is a 1.4 k series at the moment but they are smooth and deliver power well even if it is only 105bhp. rest asurred it wont be that forever.

For what i paid for it, im more than happy, i think its a nice looking car, kind of angry from the front :)

edit, the 2nd picture is the video i sent earlier to some of you if you want to hear the exhaust
