Question how difficult would it be to fit a sports button to a twingo GT?
The idea is so I can run an economical map when normal driving and when I want to I can turn the sports button on and run a performance map?
Hard to explain mate. I have wound the piston back as far as st as it goes. Picture the slot in the calipers where the disc sits. I can fit a new brack pad on the piston side of the disc. But where the rail (end of the other side of caliper) is I can’t get it to go back enough to fit a new pad...
So yesterday I started changing my discs and pads. Drivers side went smooth. Got to the passenger side, calipers came off fine, disc went on perfect. I don’t have a wind back tool but I’ve used a vase the past 4 times and worked fine. Anyways I can get the actual piston to wind back enough to...
Sounds like someone’s been red lining it and broken bits of the internals. My twingo has an issue with idle, I fixed mine by changing the recirculating valve but yours sounds different. Have you had the engine apart and had a look at the pistons, cams e.t.c
Any slight pieces of metal that have...
What do you mean lose power? Does it cut out over a certain RPM or is it being delayed when you put your foot on the accelerator? The popping would suggest excess fuel being dumped for some reason. If you can elaborate a bit more I may be able to give you a rough idea of the problem
Hi mate, I’ve disconnected my boost control and just put the gauge on to see get that corrected first. Am I correct in saying the boost gauge should be t-pieced of the vacuum line going from wastegate to intake ? My boost gauge flickers when I give it to much boost which is strange. Considering...
Yeah I’m more of a street racing person. Oh don’t get me wrong I’ve had races with stupid shit like a Astra Vxrs, subie wrx Obviously got shit on but compared to most young drivers in the 1/1.6litres car it keeps up with most on low gears. Im hoping after a map I’ll be able to see what sort of...
I do track days currently. How is a 0-60 time a load of shit? Also just cause I’m from England doesn’t mean imma be sitting at 70 all my life! I wouldn’t be upgrading my car if I wanted to drive at 70.
So guys I’ve been having a think about my twingo. I’m not sure weather to carry on upgrading it or to buy a different car.
My car:
Twingo GT 1.2T
Current mods:
Monza RS alloys
K&N air filter
Straight pipe exhaust (Still have the cat near the manifold)
Front mount intercooler
Manual boost...
My personal view on maps is that you should get your car pretty well modified before you even contemplate a map. A non turbo car isn’t going to give a massive amount of gains from a map. As for power flow they are a pretty decent company. I’ve used them in the past and always been good
So today I’ve been trying to setup my manual boost control on the twingo gt.. Did some research and theoretically all you should have to do is run the pipe from the wastegate to the boost control and another pipe from the turbo. Long story short I’ve done that but my boost keeps cutting out at...
Hi guys well I’ve come to the point where my twingo gt mk2 clutch is slipping so I’m in to mind, do I get a standard clutch again or do I go with a stage 2/stage1 clutch. Whats everyone’s views on this? Do you think it’s a pointless upgrade in the view of increase in torque? A lot of people have...
