Changing the dash from Kmh to Mph

Hold the trip button on the end of the wiper stalk in when you turn the ignition to position 2 - keep it held until the dash no longer flashes. Should also be mentioned in the owners manual/handbook.

    ***FREE*** Car Covers

Hi Alex, I'll happily take the Stormforce cover off your hands! Based in East London, so collection shouldn't be much of a bother at all. Ta, Matt

    17---to ---16

If you keep the overall diameter of the wheel/tyre combo the same, then there should be no change to the gear ratios... If you change the overall diameter, then the gearing will be affected - this will not only have an affect on performance/speed, but will also throw the reading of the...

    Rear window screen

My brother managed to smash the rear windscreen on his car by reversing it too fast into a parking bay...twice... Daihatsu YRV - not a particularly common car, but AutoGlass were able to source a replacement fairly quickly...only it didn't have a hole in it for the rear wiper...meant another...

    Roadhawk Install

Won't any switched 12V live supply suffice? If you're hard-wiring it into the car, then I'd crack the multimeter out to find a switched 12V supply and splice in the wires...

    Owning a twingo 133

Having had an 07-plate Panda as a daily driver for a while (the 500 and Panda are very similar inside) - I found I was constantly knocking and rubbing my left knee on the centre console...plus, it's a very 'sit-up-and-beg' driving position compared to the low-slungness of the 133... There's an...

Twingo 133 cup track rod end

Yep, it was the Lemforder ones I went with...the hardest part of the entire job was finding somewhere who could set the tracking afterwards... Always have a mare when steering angle sensors and electronic power steering are mentioned...

Twingo 133 cup track rod end

Hi, I replaced both the track rods and the track rod ends on mine in early September. Renault is the only place to get hold of the track rods themselves - about £90 per side. The outer ends can be bought from Euro Car Parts/any decent parts place for about £15 per side. Hope this helps, Matt

    Alarm driving me MENTAL

Instead of double-hitting the lock button to deadlock/arm the alarm, just hit the lock button once...might be a solution? When my car was parked at my parents home and not used for quite a while (rural Norfolk), the alarm would go off for no apparent reason - evidence inside the car suggests it...

    New windscreen, any tips?

I had to have the windscreen replaced on my car within the first couple of months of ownership (had it since new in 2009!) due to a massive stone which was flicked up by a tractor...the joys of living in rural Norfolk at the time! The autoglass guy had no issues fitting the glass, but one of...

    Suspension Lower Balljoint Rubbers

Just had a look at all the paperwork we hold for Twinky...lower suspension arms replaced at 24.5k miles...not sure if the replacement parts fitted are the updated ones, or a direct replacement...I'll have to have a closer look when I'm next underneath the car!

    Steering Arm/Track-Rod End Woes

Just as an update to this...managed to fit everything today... Not much change out of £200 for the Renault parts, but it didn't cost too much for the ones from Euro Car Parts...and, please don't judge me for this, I did get myself a 'special tool' by Draper which made the job so much easier...
