or should that be 'Project Newbie'? Despite having owned three modified cars, this is the first time i'm actually going to be making any changes to the car myself.

My plans at present are;

Exterior
- Osram Nightbreaker Plus headlights
- Gloss black licence plate panel
- Gloss black lower bumper lip
- Gloss black spoiler
- Gloss black rear diffuser

- Gloss black Team Dynamic Pro Race 3 alloys
- Gloss black Renault badges
- Spax 40mm lowering springs all round

- Team Heko wind deflectors
- Black stubby aerial
- White rear licence plate lights

Interior
- White interior lights
- GT clutch footrest plate
- Power Pad pedal covers

Engine
- BMC panel filter
- K-Tec Racing Twingo GT Ultra Performance exhaust system.

Today I made a start on a few 'quick and easy' modifications, which i intend to continue doing until I have saved enough to purchase the alloys and springs that I'm intending on purchasing.

I received my panel filter in the post yesterday, thank you Kam Racing!

This proved to be the toughest job as I didn't have a torx kit, therefore, reverted to using an allen key which was retrieved from the engine bay numerous times.

Eventually, after managing to pry two of the four screws holding the air box in place, I gave up on the allen key and drove to my nearest Halfords, spending £10 on a rather comprehensive set of torx bits, screwdriver and wrench.

I came back home and managed to almost immediately lose a T25 bit into my engine, and after spending about 10 minutes trying to locate it, moved onto a T20, which did the trick. It looks like my paper filter wasn't long fitted

Putting the air box back together was much easier with the T20

Next came my second delivery of the week. Heko wind deflectors;

I've had Heko deflectors previously, on both my C2 and Fiesta, and can't speak highly enough of them. I've never had an issue with their quality and they do the job, so a worthy purchase for £20. Fitting them was a 2 minute job;

Finally, my GT clutch footrest plate, with thanks again to JMR.

Whilst i was at Halfords i picked up some velcro hook and eye strips, which cost around £2. I only used one of them, cutting it up into smaller segments, with a total of four patches on the back of the plate.

Again, an easy fit, and looks great!

Looking good mate! Some good plans!

Might i suggest you check out my progress thread in the projects/progress section ;)
Non-rs I-Music is what ive got!

I already have plans otherwise I'd definitely have come along. I hope you have a good time anyway, bud!

My black badges and stubby aerial are on order! More photos to follow once they're delivered and fitted.

As i mentioned in my last message, I had ordered a black stuby aerial to compliment the overall colour scheme i'm aiming for. That, and I think they're a significant visual improvement from the whips that cars usually come equipped with. It's a generic brand, but works a treat.

Easy as unscrewing the original aerial, changing the thread over and screwing in the new one.

Fitting them was again, extremely easy. The 3M double sided tape they came pre-applied with has held onto the surface extremely well;

I'll be sure to do so Mike!

Thought i'd upload a couple more photos seeing as the last batch weren't ideal, before she goes in for her cosmetic treatment on Monday.

On the way back from today's NEFords meet, i thought i'd take the opportunity to snap the car while she's clean, before she goes in for the vinyl wrapping tomorrow;

Give it a try mate if it goes wrong or just looks shite then you can just peel it off! Its far safer and cheaper than painting that's for sure! Lol

Wells its good to know my thread is inspiring people and being put to good use :D
