Thanks Poweller!

More photos post-clean, just before the weekend where something fairly significant is due to happen;

Remap? If so make sure you get Clio 172/182 injectors!

I'm not looking for any performance-enhancing mods at the moment, but long-term plan is a remap, k-tec exhaust system and uprated injectors.

Thanks Kelly!

Well, yesterday I went round to a friends' house and with his help, we fitted a set of Spax 40mm lowering springs (thank you Jjay). They're still setting at the moment, so the ride height doesn't look phenomenally different but there's certainly an improvement on cornering.

Quick update as i haven't been on in a few days. All attempts at waiting and saving up for an exhaust failed miserably and I purchased a K-Tec system, which was fitted to the car last week.

Went for the twin-tip option which worked well and fits nicely in the existing bumper cut. The sound is a lovely note and isn't too garish in city drives or on motorways. I also feel an addition of power, though I'm not certain my perception of it is more placebo.

Edit: Photo removed due to poor quality. I'll up a better one when I get a chance.

looks great mate! twin tip ftw!

iv got my exhaust now and hope to fit it at some point next week. Mines a straight through with no back box so its gona be interesting!!! lol

Thanks Mike! I love the noise it generates. Now to start saving for alloys!

oh yes the noise!!! lol iv done mine now, theres a video in my progress thread.

always somthing else to save for :lol:

Too true! Seems that the car i wasn't going to modify is turning into quite the expense. Haha. Not sure whether to opt for gloss black 133 alloys or black deep dish with a chrome/matching silver lip. Hummm.

Just a quick update, as I haven't been on here in forever. Not a whole lot has changed, except;

replaced the garish showroom tax disc holder with a smaller, black. magnetic one.

and whilst I'm saving for alloys, painted by centre cap diamonds;

Wheels look good!

Think it would look abit better slammed and with the wheels spaced out more in my opinion ;)
couldn't agree more! very nice man

Thanks gents.

I couldn't really lower it any more without causing detriment to the ride quality. 40mm has changed it a fair bit, she's quite sensitive to road vibrations now. Fortunatley, this photo really doesn't do justice to how well the arches are filled.

well set up coilovers would have a better ride quality than slammed on springs ;)

She looks good with the new shoes :p

Don't think BC do coilovers for the GT but Weitecs do and I don't find them uncomfortable at all, people who sit in my car expected them to be a lot worse but for an RS the BCs beat Weitecs hands doen

Yeah, if i was going to go lower, it'd have to be on coilovers. Definitely something to keep in mind should i end up with some decent moneys again.

Stop making me feel bad for buying Weitec. Know I should have gone for BC coilovers.

I have weitec and like them, they're quite a smooth ride compared to other cars I've sat in with coilovers :p
