I'll wait til you get a reply, if this fails I'm contacting renault to see if its possible to get hold of a mould or the company who made the part so we can either forward a mould onto streamline carbon or to see if there's a way for them to produce more.

Now this ladies and gentlemen is called making progress. All be it slow, but all we can do is try and try and try :D

Why not get in touch now? Going by your last reply you seem to suggest that no one can make a mould so there's no point in wasting time waiting around for a reply...

Oscar, you may as well give it a go, surely with two-three companies giving it a go there's a higher chance that a mould will work eventually..?

Because I'm not desperate for a mould and won't buy one as I'd rather save my money and buy a fast car where parts are more readily available.

I'd purely be doing this for those who want a diffuser themselves.

Why not email Renault asking about the mould and if you get a reply you can then let everyone know and someone might go for it... Why waste time waiting for a reply from Kam when you could eliminate the mould process by getting hold of the company that originally made them?

By all means if you want to do this yourself go for it rather than sit around and let everyone else do the work for once, if KAM racing have managed to get a useable version then that's all well and good if not and renault can source a mould you can then approach companies who specialise in creating similar parts like streamline carbon who could be interested in getting the original mould and continuing production.

I would but I don't really want one, I have wanted one in the past but I'd rather have something that makes a difference to how the way the car drives...

Hopefully, someone will be able to make a diffuser as they seem quite sort after....I will be putting my car on P/H on Sunday, just in case anyone might be interested in mine.....once its on there I don't want to be taking parts off etc......

i am now dead set on this diffuser, to hell with moulds of something that nobody can track down. we will hand craft a diffuser, ensure it fits perfectly and then create moulds from it. it will be glass fibre reinforced kevlar for strength and will be delivered primed and ready for paint.

there will also be a progress thread created on the entire process so that we don't have to rely on vague and occasional responses from unnamed sources which always result in a let down.

as the 'list' is old now, lets start a fresh list for this to gain interest. if nobody wants it, then i'll just happily make one for myself. if you're a bit of a ponce, i wont be sending you one purely because i don't like you. no two ways about it

1 - oscar
2 - teo (TheOnePC)
3 - poweller23
4 - fran133
5 - markhardy
6 - sullii94

don't worry about that mark, it'll go in a list of whoever puts an order in first but let's wait until we are closer to that stage. touch wood?

that's all the gel coat & fibre glass sheets / resin ordered in and is now in work. now for payday to come and get a dodgy ebay bumper to mould on + some fins shaped up from polystyrene blocks :D state of the art 'ya know?
