JMR my tracking was well out when I got mine back was also pulling to the left

Mmm, mildly annoying to say the least.

Did you take it back and get it sorted to your satisfaction dazza?

Ah ok, my cousin owns a garage not far from work, but as Im in town later in week and passing thought id give them chance to correct it, the groaning steering is their problem to iron out as it wasnt there before.

as i promised.... new lower arms photos.(RENAULT POLAND says that this is upgrated part, which is not going to split on the rubber)......wil see

Well, mine went back in to get the tracking sorted.
They tell me its spot on on the front (but the steering wheel is still off centre, and its still pulling to the left as they agree)

They reckon something is wrong with the back end of the car, though this is not adjustable, so they will have to have it for a couple of days and take it to a specialist who has a better machine.

They reckon their machine is probably not quite up to it, which I think stinks, as the tracking was perfect before they ever touched it.
Hence me thinking there is NOTHING wrong with the back end.

This really annoyed me yesterday, I had the whole afternoon wasted, and will look an ar5e again next week having to go in to work late and leave early to take and collect the car.

I will try and get my cousin to sort it on Weds next week before the Renault appointment as he replaced the driveshafts on my Clio and the tracking on that is absolutely c0ck on.

When I had mine replaced it came back initially with the wheel off centre, also off to the left as it happens. Smith's sorted it the next day for me and offered compensation without having to ask. when they'd sorted it, it was perfect too

Smiths next time for sure DrDrew.

This will be the fourth time Ive been and whilst its not a million miles away, its 35 miles each time of my petrol, plus the 35 miles to get the coutesy car back home and back to the garage.

Hoping cousins garage can correct it so I dont have to go back to Renault.

Ive been in communication recently with Mick @ Diamond Motors at Nottm, and he will be doing the work on my Clio182 in the next couple of months.
He has a really good reputation on ClioSport and by reading his posts over the years he really sounds like he knows his stuff.

He will be doing Auxbelt, cambelt, waterpump, dephaser pulley, top mounts and full service.
Saving starts now lol, cos thats gonna be a big bill.

Cousin said we should err on the side of caution and NOT touch the tracking but instead let them sort it at Renault.
He said it sounds like the castor/camber angle needs adjusting and if we touch something and it is something that they should out under warranty (like a faulty suspension arm) then they may try and wriggle out of it.

I've got it booked in with Renault anyway and they have assured me they have an appointment reserved as soon as my car lands at the alignment specialist to sort this out once and for all.
Apparently they need a full print out of the suspension/tracking settings to forward to RUK to continue the work under the same warranty claim.

Fingers crossed.

Camber and toe were all to c0ck, adjusted by the tyre/service centre at Tanvic in Lincoln.

All seems reasonably ok now.
Steering wheel is centred ok, doesnt seem to be pulling either, had quite a nice drive home, just like it used to be.

Add me to the ball joint woes list !
I have just returned from a failed MOT issue caused by both front ball joints being damaged.
2010 car with 15K mileage.
Trip to my local dealer tomorrow for a warranty claim argument no doubt.
I will contact RUK before i go this time instead of after the argument with the dealer.

Getting mine done on Monday parts are in :)
Make sure they do the tracking Ben cos where I had mine done handed the car back with it pullin to the left

Just off the phone to RUK and although they are keen to assist they will not confirm this is a warranty job and they are saying that the ball joint issue is not a common problem infact this is the first time he had heard of it !
Visit to dealer tomorrow and return call to RUK to advise them of the outcome.

Car repaired under warranty with no issues.
Great service from Richard Sauders in Northampton and they recognised the common fault as it was on their system.
Refreshing to find a decent dealership after the sham of the Allen Renault dealers in Northampton.
Had a peek at the new Clio just delivered and have to say looks brilliant with a massive interior upgrade in both quality and looks.Cant wait to see the Renaultsport version which will be stunning in the flesh.

Mine were done today by Evans halshaw in Middlesbrough there spot on

I put my RS Silverstone into my local dealer today (ness motors Inverness) and I asked them to check the lower ball joints and low and behold they were severely worn, with only 8500miles.

They replaced them under warranty without even asking, which is great!

I also have my rear silencer exhaust clamp (???) which has broken and making a rattle, so are fixing that under warranty, but they need to order the part!

Great service!
