Twingo 133 vs Clio 200 (the non turbo one)

It's the refinement that is deceiving you... The 133 feels raw and "alive" because you've got no sound deadening, an engine which likes to rev (although so has the 200) and also because your probably more used to the Twingo. What you need is to give it more time, do a few weekend long drives...

Twingo RS133 Renaultsport modified excellent example!

If your looking for an honest, reliable Twingo that needs and wants for nothing with long MOT, nice modifications as well as all the standard parts included - this is for you. I spent months looking at various ones for sale before buying this one and it's been great fun! However having recently...

    Add oil temperature

You could get an obd scangauge that would measure your oil temp as a digital display.

    Speakers vs Head Unit change

The standard speakers are generally pretty good in Renaults. I changed the head unit in my RS model for a Pioneer unit and it was much, much better sound than the standard stereo it replaced. With any standard stereo though, even when changing your speakers for expensive ones, your limit is...

    Bloody Annoying Rattle

Is it coming from the front or rear of the cabin? And definitely internal?

Twingo 133 Newbie - Looking to buy, have some questions!

I've always bought on condition rather than mileage. In fact the cars I have had with very low mileage in the past have actually been the most troublesome! Maybe get the seller of any ones you do like to send you detailed pictures and information, and then book a flight down? I've bought a car...

Twingo 133 Newbie - Looking to buy, have some questions!

The second one for the mileage looks like it's had a harder life... Is there a particular spec your wanting? As they do a few different options (cup chassis etc) which are worth considering, and are you wanting it standard or modified? MOT history can also be checked online, so may be worth...

Just joined the RS Twingo owners

Welcome :) Gearbox feeling a bit notchy is normal, so nothing to really worry about there as long as theres no noise when changing gear. A gearbox oil change wouldn't do any harm though if you were worried. Definitely agree that it is a car that is reminiscent of older hot hatches, I had a...

    Looking to buy a twingo133

Check that the cambelt etc has been replaced in the service history, or budget for this when negotiating a price. Check the MOT has a decent amount of time left on it. Suspension coil springs if standard are prone to snapping, which would mean an MOT failure but can also be hard to spot if its...

    My RS133

No recall, it was only for people who raised the issue... And it seems not many did, or their dealers chose not to bother doing this. But its certainly improved mine! :)

Yeah, just make sure they are hubcentric spacers with either longer bolts or ones that you bolt to the hub, and then bolt the wheel to the spacer...

Do you mean the wheel is inside the arch too much? Shouldn't be with those specifications... If you mean too much gap between tyre and arch, again there shouldn't be. What size tyres were on it before? And wheel size? A 195/50/16 is going to be overall larger than what came off the car. I did...

    Twingo RS + Snow = ????

Just drive with caution and you'll be fine. The rear end can be quite lightweight, and so this will be more noticeable in snow/ice but as long as you have decent tyres you should be fine.

    My RS133

I actually work at a Renault dealer, and spoke to the master tech to do some investigating for me... That's when he found the cure, here are the screen shots: The car has been in daily use since, and it is a million times better than it was before. No jerkiness when cold, no kangarooing...

    Windscreen trim flew off..

Cant tell you what it's called, but might be worth sending that picture to the various twingos being broken on ebay and getting them to match it that way? :)

Then you may struggle. Do you have any car parts companies who sell wheels?

They do exist, where have you looked? Ebay should list loads of 6.5 x 16" 4x100 wheels. Just type this into the search: 4x100 6.5 x 16 That for me threw up loads of options, just make sure the offset (ET) is correct.

So it wasn't a wheel bearing? What was the noise you could hear?
