    when to change brakes

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but I was searching for information. The only problem with your above rule is that the front discs only have 2.2mm of disc before they are at minimum thickness from new, and the rears only have 1mm between new and minimum thickness. edit: But then I realised...

Does anyone know the torque setting for rear stub axle nut?

As per title really. I have a 1.6 Wind, but as so many parts are shared with the Twingo, I thought that here would be the best place to ask. After 30,000 miles the discs are getting close to their service limits, so have bought new discs and pads all round to fit. The problem I have is I...

    So this happened

Happy? :? Are you sure you don't have a leak in the system? ;) BTW, I think I might have to try one of these. I'm really pleased that you have taken the plunge. 8-)

Very nice. Do you have the other trainer to match, and can we see a picture of both of them together? ;) BTW, the NOs kit looks good too. 8-)

    what's in your tool box?

Ah, yes, I guess I am. That's probably the era of my tools, so they can't be bad quality. :)

    what's in your tool box?

I thought Halford Professional were made by Sykes Pickavant? :? I know that their toolboxes are supplied by Waterloo Industries. I have a mixture. Blue Point cabinet, tools by Halford Pro, Facom, Britool, Snap On, and other odds and sods that I've picked up over time. The only Bahco I have...

I will resist posting further pictures. The mods on here aren't a bad lot. We don't always agree, but it's a thankless task they have. :)

Road tax to be scrapped next year

That is exactly it. Shame really, as I'm of the age where seeing road-rent in the window means I can be pretty sure that someone has insurance as well. Now what are you supposed to do when some scrote drives into your pride and joy?

    Audi Kit Car

I was expecting to see a Banham X99 kit, based on the Metro. The other offerings on this thread are making the X99 look pretty damned good now.

    Winter is coming

You don't have to slum it, just because it is winter - and anyway, no wheels are faster than others, but they can look good (see picture above). 8-)

What car will you be buying next?

It's all subjective. I find my Wind dull and that's not a turbo. It serves a purpose, as would a 0.9 litre turbo. :)
