    AP COILOVERS

I have ap coilovers on my GT but run apex rear dampers. I was told by the previous owner that the ap rear dampers knocked like made so he replaced them with apex. They were ok for a while but now they knock aswell.

    Twingo GT progress

They were a straight fit onto the car mate. To be honest they still knock a little but on bumpy roads. On smooth roads they are ok but they knock a fair bit which is annoying!

    Twingo GT progress

I got the coilovers 2nd hand and they came with apex dampers. The previous owner told me the ap ones knocked a lot so he fitted them. Think they are off a 182 clio

    Rattling

My gt has done the same thing. I did originally think it was the mount under the battery cover but that seems ok on mine.

    Greetings

There are two bolts in the top of the glove box which secures the airbag, check to see if they are loose. 13 or 16mm i think

    2007 mk2 springs

58mm bolt spacing coilovers from a 182 can fit a twingo i think

My Twingo GT - Phwoar, what a rack on her.- 18/09/2014

Yeh I know what you mean I have the same coilovers and have considered removing the metal adjuster. It will obviously go abit lower and I think the adjuster causes knocking sounds with it been metal on metal.

With the ap coilovers did you fit the original rubber spring tops rather than the adjuster?

    I want the twingo lower......

I have AP coilovers on my car and they don't go very low. The fronts do but the rears don't so it makes having the front really low pointless

    noise from back of car

Do I need a press to replace the bearings?

    noise from back of car

I did have bearing down as my number one suspect so it must be that. My tyres are nearly new.

    noise from back of car

Today my twingo started making a kind of moaning noise from what sounds like the back right corner. Its not a knowing sound more like a constant drone. Does anyone have any idea what can cause such a noise?

    twingo gt ap coilover

I have ap coilovers and its the rear suspension that doesn't go really low. The fronts can go so low it touches the floor but the rears don't go very low
